"THE LAST OF US" ... AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET.

I must to admit that for a while, because of the big movement on the next-gen of consoles and some other titles being announced, "The Last of Us" started to be a minor thing in my mind.
WHAT AN IDIOT I WAS!

Again, i still can't play this GAME with my own hands, but thanks to God i got this outstanding pillars very well made for Joel & Ellie journey. And also i have to say thanks to every Youtuber that had upload the cinematics of the game.
With nothing more to write at this extreme little prologue all because I'm so exited & happy to get back at the writing on the blog with such title likes this. (Sorry, i have to apologize for the long time out of... of... life? Well, i let the University take me by surprise and it was a huge beastly semester. But i survived and the storm is passing by.)
Remember that this isn't a professional review, its just my thoughts that came after seen (my case...) "The Last of Us".
And with everything said, lets see what this game had for us. (PART IN SPANISH)

I.- GAMEPLAY                                                                                                                                        .

All right, i know i haven't play the game but after seen so many videos & reviews of, i can say it manage to entertain and be funny (knowing that killing a person is not a good thing. Hm....) It doesn't have awful controls  but i have heard that its a bit hard to play, or survive. (It's reminds me what the critics says about "DMC 3", even i never felt that way).

Inspired by previous games mechanics (Resident Evil, Dead Space, Resistance, etc) the game combines everything that exist and make an incredible mix of true survival. Not the"horror survival", like other games have, and somehow one question itself when you think this. How can be this game have a little of survival horror? If any material show at its marketing plan doesn't have any typical or iconic moments of the genre. (I think this because "The Evil Within" shows to be an example of this genre.) But the truth is that in many levels this "horror" came from differents ways; the items, our supplies and ammunition are very hard to get or find. There are few left in this world, making them a true treasure to know how to use it.
Only for mention something that i have learn from the horror games, youtubers, reviews and the same developers of this games is that the "survival horror" start with "less opportunities". While the  player doesn't have much to use, or ways to defend himself against the unknown, better the ride.
And with the construction of the scenario or atmosphere,  the main circle its done (This two factors can be switched... the order doesn't do anything).

This is a survival ride in the nightmare of Leibniz idea. The "infected", even that they aren't the main threat, are a clear problem when we find them across the silent and dark parts of the game.
There were moments when i desire not be in Joel shoes.
And the people... This world its terrible. There is no place were WE, the humans, don't represent a problem to ourselves. I ended feeling the same when i see Rick Grimes survive another day on his reality.

The Artificial Intelligence is very "kick-ass", it's gonna put us on the edge of our seats and joysticks. Talking how the enemies and our allies are so real when they take actions and decisions. In other hand, is Ellie who stole the show and earn the prize. Something that Naughty Dog have to accomplish. The characters that we escort aren't the most brilliant or the most beloved. But in this game, Ellie isn't a useless little girl, is a smart, brave, well know of her environment (that she had the chance to know), have guts, ideas, hopes and good jokes. She "grows up" in this hell on earth.

II.- ART                                                                                                                                                 .
From the moment that we star to play, the moment that Sarah goes out of her bedroom to seek out her father... is when i can figure out that this world has been created with an incredible eye on details. From the facial animations, the wind that move the shrubbery to the perfect music composed by Gustavo Santaolalla; the care that has been given to bring to life the idea of this game is monumental. An effort of all that is rewarded by the beauty of each levelFrom the most frightening to the most bleak places but with some hope inside, the game left me mouth open for long time. Maybe at certain levels it doesn't, but to find a "great opportunity"wasn't  slightly overshadowed for long time by the concrete and the tense cold rain. They become a bridge to the twisted building and the problematic paradise.

This post-apocalyptic scenario of the game have an incredible fluidity that boggles me. And like Ellie says in one part; "It kind a cool to walk in the woods".

Before to continue writing, i prefer that the images talk this time. Even that i feel they can't show all the great thing inside this travel.

III.- STORY                                                                                                                                           .
While the other two pillars are excellent well made, its the story of "The Last of Us" that make the difference. Not because its complete new or that reinvent the same pillar, its because for being incredibly concrete, metaphorical in some places, logical, emotional, brutal, visceral, spectacular ... I ran out of adjectives. (Yes, my vocabulary is very limited).

Absolutely everything was according to what their characters are. They grow in this context, a horrific reality harvested by the mutated virus and the survivors humans beings. Something that Joel (Troy Baker, the voice actor and "Motion capture") understands and knows very well.

He has learned to do what it necessary to survive. However, is not a monster completely. It's not an entirely bad guy or one of the many villains that roam the earth. Is a human being, a broken man and frozen by decisions, by the fear, by the tragedy and what he has seen. And this man is the one who make me more talk about.
The game made me question so much this character, and his story is so well written and personified that stayed in my mind; I would have done that? A logical question since we're pretending to be this character.
The player and / or spectator (in my case) is the one who will be disputed by his actions.

Ellie is undoubtedly one of the best characters I've had the opportunity to meet (with Elizabeth of "Bioshock Infinite" this 2013). For me, she's like the "innocence, purity that exists"; returning to the life of this anti-hero. But this girl of fourteen years old is real, that is from his dialogue, his character, his fears, the maturity that develops through the story, her ideas, her animations (the technical side, and acting provided by Ashley Johnson, the voice actress and "Motion capture", is so outstanding) help to have a very human journey.

The secondary characters are equally fantastic: Tommy, Marlene, David, Sarah, etc.. All dramatically come to life and take us through different parts. All at the tide of this world.

Before sitting down to see about 7 hours, for me, of Film Experience ... I asked myself, It will be revolutionary, brand new, will surpass Uncharted? (The scripts of Drake's adventures are excellently written).
In my opinion it's not like reinvent the gunpowder, but it has a coherent story (in its own universe and context), beautiful (for the journey to which we are subjected by Ellie and Joel), visceral (the dangers are shown with respect to reality and possibilities) and questioning (as the credits came I froze).
It is a masterpiece of art.

If this game intended to touch me, question me, excited, scared, worry about their characters, leaving me stunned by its history, its graphics, its landscapes, its soundtrack, its movie experience ... it succeeded.
It left a mark on me, one that allows me to safely say it was one of the most amazing trips I've take. One of the best of my life.

"The Last of Us" is an experience not to forget.
